LAst Night's Action: Suh-weet!

LAist prefers the football uniforms.Trojans 87, Longhorns 68 - USC earned hard court revenge against the school that ruined their bid for a third consecutive national championship on the gridiron. The Trojans trounced Texas in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to advance to the sweet sixteen for the first time since their elite eight run in 2001. The upset means USC will play North Carolina this week.

Lakers 109, Timberwolves 102 - Kobe almost stole the headlines away from March Madness again. One game after scoring 65, he had 50 against Minnesota to push the Lakers to a second straight victory. It's been feast or famine lately for Los Angeles, whose previous two games were lopsided losses to extend the longest loosing streak of Phil Jackson's career (it ended at 7).

Nets 101, Clippers 95 - Always within striking distance, the Clippers couldn't close against New Jersey. Both teams are on the playoff cusp.

Kings 5, Ducks 3 - Los Angeles is possibly the worst team in the NHL and Anheim is possibly the best, but the Kings are somehow ruling Southern California hockey. This was the most lopsided game of the season series, which the teams split 4-4. All other games were decided by one goal and four went to overtime.
