The movie 300 got you pumped for some action? Ready to pound an adversary in front of a cheering audience? Then Stoked Mentoring’s 1st Annual Celebrity Rock Paper Scissors Tournament and Fundraiser might be for you. With programs in Los Angeles and New York City, Stoked Mentoring is a not-for-profit that aims to develop at-risk youth into successful teens through action sports. To raise money for these efforts, Stoked is partnering with the United States of America Rock Paper Scissors league (USARPS) for a fun-filled competition presented by Bud Light and Mountain Dew. Activities will also include a silent auction, music by the DUBLAB Soundsystem and food provided by Wolfgang Puck.

WHEN: Saturday, March 17, 8 p.m. - midnight
WHERE: Marvimon, Downtown LA.
COST: Tickets are $50 (tax deductible) and include drinks, food and individual entry in the Rock Paper Scissors tourney.

All proceeds directly benefit Stoked Mentoring.

Sources tell us there will be a main stage where all the action goes down and a live feed broadcasting the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat on screens throughout the venue. It’s a good cause and you may be able to claim you beat some famous person at Rock Paper Scissors in a finale much like the end of Karate Kid. Winner of the RPS Tournament gets two roundtrip tickets on JetBlue. The silent auction features snowboards by Forum, signed posters by Pete Yorn, dinners at Chaya Brasserie.

"RPS is something we all can enjoy, regardless of our skill level on a
board or with a ball. It's a level playing field for all involved and
a perfect game to tie into our fundraising efforts," says Sal Masekela, co-founder for Stoked Mentoring and host of the X Games.

Stoked brings together positive and successful professional adults with youngsters to learn surfing, skating or snowboarding as a tool for mentoring and coaching. Interested in becoming a mentor? Click here.
