Who ever would have thought that Kelly Clarkson would have become a Grammy-winning superstar, and who would have thought that Justin Guarini would have fizzled off into where-are-they-now land?
And who on Earth would have thought that Clay Aiken would still be on people's radar?
Apparently Justin is still trying to make it happen and this morning we bring you his halfway decent version of the Star Spangled Banner, which, just like his career, is eh bordering on instantly forgettable.

Very interesting to listen to all of these idols singing The National Anthem.
Why in the world are you so against Clay Aiken? He's a great singer, entertainer, and outstanding person. Are you jealous. I don't understand.
Very mediocre rendition. Hunter Cashdollar
Poor Guarini isn't even on the tune. Don't know what your issue is with Aiken - do you have some sort of hatred for Unicef Ambassadors or do you just dislike people who sing on tune? Odd..... Sometime when you have nothing else to do, look at his tour results - he's on the radar because he's successful, has many fans, and is a decent guy. There aren't enough of those, so people attack them? Very odd.
Clay is still on the radar, and will be for many years, because he is immensely talented, has incredible charima, very versatile, has the best stage presence, charitable and all-around great guy. Can't say that about ANY other AI contestant, so far. Apparently you have another agenda for making that statement.
while i have never understood Justin's talent, there are some who do and for those individuals I say good for them. I am glad Justin is getting back out there for himself and his fans. As for your Clay Aiken comment I don't get it. He is immensely talented and a great humanitarian. He gives so much to his fans and his concerts are fantastic. What gives with your rude comments. He has as much right to still be here as Kelly Clarkson or any other idol. Is there a reason you have to put them down. Its really beneath you, you know.
Has anyone else noticed that the ones that bash Clay are all gay bloggers? Perez Hilton, Michael Musto, Billy Masters, gawker, defamer, fadedyouth. All gay. Clay isn't gay, but they insist that he is, so they treat him like dirt. How twisted and sad.
GREAT version of the SSB by Justin Guarini. No melisma, no glory noting, just good solid singing, hitting every note exactly right on, with power and grace. Its a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the opportunity to hear that! I really enjoyed it.

The answers are simple. Jealousy and hits to the site. They know that adding Clay's name will get the hits. SAD!!! REAL SAD!!!
Clay, Josh and Kelly are my favourite versions so far.
Kelly has a great voice and there is no one I would rather hear sing than Clay . Justin's SBB isn't bad . I think he was abandoned after AI . I have heard a couple of tracks from his new jazz album . It is really good . Check it out .
I thought he did a fairly decent job on this song, very little melisma and sung with respect. Justin has a better recorded voice. He sounds as good if not better than some of the singers they play on the radio. Have you ever heard Hoobastank live, they stink!!!
Go for it Justin, you got the shaft buddy by AI making you wait over a year to put out your CD and then putting it out the same day as Clay and Ruben.
Clay's fanbase just continue to grow, now even internationally. Did you really expect that great voice, wonderful personality and best looking fabulous guy to drop off the map? No Way. He's here to stay and getting more popular. He's one of those one-name people. Say Clay and everyone knows you're talking about the one and only Mr. Aiken! It's been a four year love affair and going strong!
Too bad you can't appreciate an acapella SSB without yelling, screaming or glory-noting. Justin's version was masterfully subtle (check out the extended 'wave') and perfectly pitched.
Not a fan of Clay, but I won't deny that he can sing and this stuff is getting old. Find some new whipping boys.
I think Justin sounds wonderful and he does a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
This is an old video though. I saw him in concert recently and he sounds absolutely wonderful. He has matured into an incredibly handsome, very professional, amazing performer, writing songs, producing cds, acting and playing guitar and piano as well as being involved with many charities.
Just to update you on a few of the things Justin's been up to: Justin produced and released a great smooth jazz cd Stranger Things Have Happened. He just finished a movie "Fast Girl"
and he is a correspondent on Idol Chat, as well as the Pre Idol Show. He is also working on his third cd which will be funk, and soul.
You can find out more on his website www.justinguarini.com
I can't imagine Clay no longer working in the music industry - and you know, I really would't want too.
I like Guarini's version.
