I liked it better when tonight's many cool music shows was pointed out on Los AnJealous.com awhile ago with enough time to actually buy tickets. You even stole their same words. Plus you left off Midlake the best one. Nice try. Have fun at the Peabo Bryson show with the rest of your readers.

So you're accusing me of reading a post off a blog on Monday and remembering it well enough to "steal" it 6 days later? AOL user, you clearly don't know me.
And i seriously doubt that anyone other than Ken Layne, Jeanine Natale or Tony Pierce would ever write a line like "you really should do yourself a favor and take advantage of the overflowing monkey cup of killer tunes happening in our own backyard." And since none of them work at the blog you referred to, your accusation is bunk. My words are mine and I stand by them, happily.
Plus even a child could see that tonight was a great night to go out, so before you run around trying to accuse someone of plagiarism, think for a second. Two bloggers looking at that line-up are very capable of individually saying to themselves, fuck thats killer. Which we did. In similar, but unique ways. Plus LAist provided more examples of how much last night rocked.
As for your other point, it's called Tonight in Rock in LA. This Week in Rock in LA and This Month in Rock in LA are possibilities for the future, but right now we're satisfied with telling people what's happening tonight. As is our ever-growing audience.
Finally, as someone who has seen hundreds of shows, I can tell you first hand, rarely are there concerts where a determined would-be attendee can't find a way to get into a "sold-out" concert for the face value of a ticket or cheaper. Most of the time all you have to do is show up an hour before the show and start asking people if they have an extra.
As someone who sometimes has extras, I can tell you that there are some people who give them away for free to true fans who are there asking.
