Well, duh! She obviously hit her head on something (air, maybe?) on her way down, thus losing consciousness and rendering her unable to swim to the nearest post. I find myself hoping they do kill her off so they can change the name of the show to something more accurate, like "Horny, Emotionally Stunted Doctors Running Loose in a Hospital." Or "The People Who Wrote This Show Clearly Think You're Stupid."

Uhhhhh Hello! Last nights episode (following a fairly dramatic Ugly Betty I might say) was hardly plausible. I asked the same questions; "She was at the pier, why didnt she grab a post?" or "How in the hell did McDreamy find her after so long AND she was submersed?" or, and most important "She was drowned for a good 20 minutes of the show, shouldnt she be dead?" The writers seem to be stretching the drama just a little for sweeps.
