Hey, You Got Salmonella in My Peanut Butter...

peter pan peanut butter linked to Go to your cupboards, see if you chose Peter Pan peanut butter or the Wal*Mart house brand, look on the lid and see if it starts with 2111.

If it does you're a winner owner of a jar of peanut butter that could be contaminated with salmonella. Throw the jar out, but keep the lid because you can get a refund.

Nearly 300 people in 39 states have fallen ill since August, and federal health investigators said they strongly suspect Peter Pan peanut butter and certain batches of Wal-Mart's Great Value house brand – both manufactured by ConAgra Foods Inc.

Shoppers across the country were warned to throw out jars with a product code on the lid beginning with “2111,” which denotes the plant where it was made. - AP

Apparently this is the first time that peanut butter has ever been linked to the bacteria in the US. Here's more on salmonella if you're wondering if maybe you have it.

I think that yall need to have a tighter grip on the way your peanut butter is handled. People trust that yall will take care of our needs but when they're needs arent met then we cant trust you, or your product.
