LAst Night's Action: Ugly Day, All Around

Vladimir Radmanovic demonstrates a passing technique from his native Serbia & Montenegro. Guess what? The Lakers got pounded.Pistons 93, Lakers 78 - Unless you're a Chris Webber fan, this game was not Tivo worthy. Thursday night hosts Must See TV, but the contest was over long before prime time rolled around. Detroit went up by as many as 20 and dominated from the outset. Webber had 18 points and 11 rebounds, leading a rejuvenated Pistons squad to their fifth straight win and a 9-2 record since he joined the team. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in points (18) and turnovers (8). Tayshaun Prince had a game high 20 points. Brian Cook and Phil Jackson were seen having an argument on the sideline, and Cook only played one minute of the entire game.

Capitals 4, Kings 3, OT - Mathieu Garon returned from a month long layoff to mind the net for Los Angeles. The rust showed. Washington only had 7 shots in the second period, but three of them found paydirt in a span of less than 10 minutes. In OT, the Capitals were able to poke the puck in for the game winner as it sat on the line. Welcome back, Matty.

Elsewhere - San Diego Surf Dawgs put to sleep ... Italian soccer league pulls the equivilant of "If you kids can't behave, I'm going to turn this car around!" on the entire fan base ...Watch some strange hockey fan, with an even stranger announcer.
