LAst Night's Action: Nets Clipped

With only two pro games being played in America last night, everybody was a little bored.
Clippers 102, Nets 101 -
Guess who's back? At .500, that is. The Clippers pulled off an exciting finish after losing an 18 point lead and falling behind 100-97. Cuttino Mobley drained a trey with 0.6 second to go and handed New Jersey their third straight one-point loss on the road. Before spending the roadtrip in heartbreak hotel, the Nets had won 9 of 11. The Clippers, on the other hand, have collected four straight wins with the help of a couple key players who returned from injuries. They evened their record at 21-21 and if the season ended today would make the playoffs. Yes, in their own conference.

Elsewhere - #3 UCLA hoops again fell behind early, but eventually had little trouble dispatching Cal. After some big games last year, the rivalry has only given us a 62-46 sleeper this year ... Playing in their first game as a ranked team in half a decade, #25 USC hoops fell to Stanford 65-50. The Farm got some big help from 7'2" rookie Brook Lopez. He had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and a school record 12 blocked shots. Nasty.

I was at that game last night, and I'm a Nets fan. I will admit, Mobley's 2 secs on-the-clock 3-pointer was impressive. However, on that last 0.6 second play...all goaltending.
