Austinist Lists 240 Bands That Will Be At SXSW

There are really only two major music festivals that truly matter, like really matter: Coachella and South by Southwest.

The former happens over two three days in the desert near Palm Springs, the latter rages for about a week on the dusty streets of Austin, Texas.

SXSW features over 1,000 bands. You buy a wristband and you wander from bar to bar, club to club, alleyway to patio and you get to see some of the coolest new and established bands ever. It's not just where labels and media outlets discover new groups, it's where you discover your favorite new bands.

Today our buddies over at Austinist released the names of over 200 bands who have either admitted to playing the fest in March, or have confirmed it in some way. Below are the artists from their list that we are most excited about, go here to see the entire list.
