Around every holiday, a sign painted in stencil block letters advertising Massage shows up between Coldwater and Fulton on Moorpark. If Mother’s Day is nigh, then it will be “Massage for Mother”. One month later we will see “Massage for Father”.
Never are any phone numbers, websites or addresses listed. It only gives the idea of massage as a gift. What a great subliminal effect.
For the record, there is one massage place nearby, but no one would ever notice it. We drive and walk by daily and never found it until we were on a mission to find a nearby parlor.
Anyhow, it must have worked: we got a massage gift certificate for Christmas.

Moorpark is the street with mysterious signs. Those tacky "Workboot Warehouse" ("Workboot Whorehouse") run the length of Moorpark from Sherman Oaks to North Hollywood/Burbank. I've only ever seen them on Moorpark!
Don't forget Mr. Piken although his signs are just as much on Ventura too.
i think the congrats to joey lawerence from sherman oaks of "dancing of the stars" on moorpark and laurel has been my fave so far!
