So if you don't feel like driving that hour+ to some party in the Valley, or to some party anywhere in Los Angeles, you can always turn on the TV. There's nothing like watching the 3-hour tape-delayed disco ball drop to reaffirm your existence.

"Seinfeld Marathon" (TBS, ALL DAY)

"Marx Brothers Marathon" (TCM, starting at 5:15 p.m.)

(other marathons include "Ace of Cakes" on the Food Network, "Dog the Bounty Hunter" on A&E, "Cops" on CourtTV, and "The History of Sex" on the History Channel, and many more)

"Garrison Keillor's New Year's Eve Special" (PBS, 10:00 p.m.) Garrison Keillor and his Guy's All-Star Shoe Band perform in Nashville on New Year's Eve -- for the cultured set.

"Top 40 Videos of 2006" (VH1, 10:00 p.m.) Self-explanatory -- I'm sure they must all be fantastic

"Feliz 2007!" (KMEX, 10:00 p.m.) Entertainment, Celebrando el Aýo Nuevo desde Times Square en Nueva York, Puerto Rico y Acapulco, Mýxico. Presentan Don Francisco, Alessandra Rosaldo, Raul de Molina y Laisha Wilkins.

"New Year's Eve '06" (Fox, 11:00 p.m.) Toni Braxton and Daughtry perform in Times Square; reports from cities hosting the Bowl Championship Series -- yippee; the New Year's Eve ball drops in New York; Cat Deeley hosts.

"MTV Goes Gold: New Year's Eve 2007" (MTV, 11:00 p.m.) Featuring Live Performances By Gwen Stefani, Nas, Pussycat Dolls, Ciara, AFI, Chamillionaire, Lady Sovereign, Three 6 Mafia And Appearances By Timbaland, Fall Out Boy, Hayden Panitierre and Perez Hilton - "with an audience full of revelers decked out in their classiest 24-karat gold attire" (for me to poop on)

"NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly" (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) Tommy Lee, celebrity blogger Dave Navarro and OK Go are to appear in Las Vegas; Panic! at the Disco performs in Times Square. Unfortunately Carson Daly will be there.

"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2007" (ABC, 11:30 p.m.) Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest together again, for the first time! scheduled performers include Christina Aguilera, Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield(?), Meat Loaf, RBD, Ludacris, Rihanna and KT Tunstall; along with the traditional Times Square countdown.
