Weekend Edition

Tonight - Saturday

"Sunset Boulevard" (TCM, 5:00 p.m.) The movie about the fickleness of stardom in Hollywood. It's somehow beyond a classic.

"American Movie" (IFC, 6:15 p.m.) The movie about self-financed redneck-geek movie maker Mark Borchardt's project "Coven", pronounced "koh-vehn"

Ducks @ Sharks (KDOC, 7:30 p.m.) Didn't these guys just play each other a couple days ago? Are there only 3 or 4 teams in the NHL?

Stars @ Kings (Fox Sports, 8:00 p.m.) Oh hey, wait, here's the Stars from the great hockey state of Texas

"Elf" (CBS, 8:00 p.m.) JIT for Xmas, Will Ferrell's neo-classic

"It's A Wonderful Life" (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) You will feel even more suicical than Jimmy Stewart's character after suffering through an excruciatingly over-commercialized 3-hour presentation of this battered classic.

"Cops" (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) new "Ho! Ho! Ho! Special Edition No. 4" from Las Vegas, this is followed by a re-run of "Special Edition No. 3"

"MAD TV" (Fox, 11:00 p.m.) Jeff Probst in a holiday-themed show complete with "Songs from 'Survivor'"

"Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) If Justin Timberlake brings sexy to SNL at least something will have been brought to it.

Tomorrow - Sunday

You had best have a good supply of beer and chips

Redskins @ Saints (Fox, 10:00 a.m.)

Rockets @ Clippers (KTLA, 12:30 p.m.)

Broncos @ Cardinals (CBS, 1:00 p.m.)

Eagles @ Giants (Fox, 1:00 p.m.)

Chiefs @ Chargers (NBC, 5:15 p.m.)

"60 Minutes" (CBS, 7:00 p.m.) America's response to Iran's Holocaust Summit is a show segment that shows an archive of 17.5 million victims of Nazi Germany, and those guys were sooo busy denying just 6 million

"Survivor: Cook Islands" (CBS, 8:00 p.m.) Finale! A journey of 9 former castaways determines the winner from the final 3

"Double Indemnity" (TCM, 7:00 p.m.) Another beyond-classic, learn about your city as Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck hook up in '40s LA
