Girls Gone Wild Boss Gets Off Easy

Santa Monica's Mantra Films Inc., the company behind the controversial "Girls Gone Wild" video series, was busted for filming underage girls whom they'd coerce to flash or strip during Spring Break in Panama City Beach.

U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak fined Mantra $1.6 million and demanded that founder Joe Francis, their lawyer, and their CFO to each perform eight hours of community service every month for the next two-and-a-half years, AP reports.

"It does not take a very brave man to go out and corner a girl in the middle of spring break who had four drinks," Smoak told Francis.

Continuing his wrath for the smirky young millionaire, the judge said the corporate officers could avoid community service if Francis served 16 hours a month by himself.

Even though they still have 10 more felonies hanging over their head and possible millions of dollars of fines, are we crazy to think that GGW is getting off easy? What guy allegedly worth $40 million can't spend a weekend a month doing community service?
