LAst Night's Action: Kobe Feeling Complimentary

This gesture to the referee hopefully won't cost Phil another $25,000.

Hornets 105, Lakers 89 - New Orleans got healthy in a big way, and ailing Kobe Bryant played but wasn't the best guard on the court. Hornet Chris Paul put away 26 points and 11 rebounds, inspiring Kobe to remark "You won't be seeing too many dudes like that this season, getting into the paint like that. I love his game."

Ducks 4, Predators 0 - Former Duck Paul Kariya led Nashville into Anaheim, but walked away with little to show. Teemu Selanne accounted for two goals and an assist and Chris Kunitz notched one goal and three assists.

Elsewhere - The Dodgers off-season is starting to look a lot better. After losing two stars earlier this week, they took two players from division rivals today. Giants ace Jason Schmidt signed for three years and $47 million, while Diamondback Luis Gonzalez signed for one year at $7 million.
