LAist Field Trip to the Coliseum

ESPN can show you almost every angle of USC's huge victory over archrival Notre Dame. The two schools are media darlings and own the biggest intersectional rivalry in all of college sports (biggest cross-town rivalry goes to USC and UCLA, but more on that later this week). What they don't always show is what it's like for the fan. Here is an exclusive LAist video of our highlights from Saturday night. After the jump is a photo gallery with lots of funny signs and t-shirts.

Not everybody likes Rudy.

But they do seem to like Borat.

A lot.

Charlie Weis? Not so much.

The rivalry is so intense, nobody batted an eyelash when the fountains turned to blood and a locust storm ate the Goodyear Blimp.

This Trojan dad apologized for not dressing his son in Cardinal and Gold. LAist called Child Protective Services, anyway.

Another classic t-shirt.

Already anticipating dirty tricks by crosstown UCLA, Tommy Trojan has been wrapped in duct tape to protect him from whatever evil may be, uh, Bruin.

Xzibit couldn't pimp anything like this ride ... the FCC doesn't smile on kegmobiles.

Dude on the right got a little too into his face paint and looks like a soccer hooligan.

Traveler is protected by a sphere of magic as he lights the Olympic Torch to start the 4th quarter. LAPD was around, too.

In 2005 USC needed an epic comeback to beat Notre Dame.

This year UCLA lost to Notre Dame in an ugly comeback. LA's better team didn't even let the Irish think about a lead, much less a victory.
