LAPD in your pocket, podcasting style.

callpolice.jpg

While UCPD tinkers around with tasers, LAPD has been playing with their audio equipment. What they presented on their blog yesterday is not truly a podcast, but merely an audio stream of a news conference. But hey, one step at a time, right?

The first "podcast" is an audio recording of Chief Bratton's November 14th press conference where he reads a statement in response to the videos floating around the 'net (one, two) and responds to reporters questions.

On our search to see if we could download it onto our iPod, we searched Odeo.com and the iTunes store for "LAPD." Here's some of what is found on iTunes:

- L.A.P.D. by The Offspring
- L.A.P.D. by The Voids
- L.A.P.D. Rampart Div. by Special Skank Featuring Neville Staple
- L.A.P.D. Vs. N.Y.P.D. (Elevium Remix) by Pacific Uv
- Freeze LAPD by Hakan Lidbo
- A Case Study - LAPD, Ramparts Division, spoken by Ward Churchill
- An episode from a TV show called Disorderly Conduct: Video On Patrol
