Martha Stewart Book Signing Today at Noon in Century City

Martha Stewart is our favorite parolee

The last of the candy corn has been nibbled from our plastic jack-o-lanterns which means only one thing: time to lay off the weed, er, it's Christmas Gift-Buying Time.

If you start early, we've found, it doesn't get so cruddy in late December. Mostly cuz you're broke.

Surely there's a friend or family member who could use some tips on cleaning the house a bit, Mom. And what better than a $45 picture-riffic book by America's favorite parolee, Martha Stewart.

What's better is an autographed copy of said tome.

Today at noon at the Borders Books in Century City Martha will be signing her new book "Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook: The Essential Guide to Caring for Everything in Your Home".

Homekeeping? Whatever.

See if she will sign your book: "thanks for the shanks. xoxoxox, Martha".

From the Borders' press release:

To ensure that Martha Stewart is able to meet as many customers as possible that are attending this event, no photographs are allowed. No item other than the book "Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook: The Essential Guide to Caring for Everything in Your Home" will be autographed. She will be unable to personalize her message when autographing the book. No memorabilia, periodicals, or books about or by Ms. Stewart, will be signed.

Beginning Friday, Nov. 10 at 9 a.m., 300 wristbands will be given out to customers who have purchased a copy of the book "Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook: The Essential Guide to Caring for Everything in Your Home." There is a limit of up to three autographed copies of "Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook" per wristband. Wristbands will be given out on a first-come, first- served basis and will offer customers a place in line, but do not guarantee a chance to meet Ms. Stewart.
