Weekend Edition

OK, so the TV Junkie completely missed Friday, this was because of a 50 mile backup on the MassPike so that's unlikely to happen in the near future. Now the TV Junkie is quite drunk in San Francisco which doesn't mean he doesn't want to be drunk in LA with you wonderful people. This doesn't mean it won't happen again, we're only somewhat human.

College Football (ABC, ESPN and wherever else, at whatever time) This isn't a sports column per se, so if you've got a favorite team or venue, you should know better and not expect this of me.

Saturday

"NHL Hockey" (Fox Sports, 6:00 p.m.) L.A. Kings @ Phoenix Coyotes - two teams from two cities where ice would never exist

"NBA Basketball" (the CW, 7:30 p.m.) Phoenix Suns @ L.A. Clippers

"The Dreamers" (IFC, 7:45 p.m.) A languid, sexy romp in '68 Paris, aaahh, a dream.

"Key Largo" (TCM, 9:00 p.m.) OK, so we haven't had another Katrina this year and time is running out. Here's a chance to see a movie version of hurricane complete with gangsters (the original Edward G. Robinson dude) as well as some handy racism. Also, you get Bogie and Bacall for some sizzle.

Sunday

"NFL Football" (NBC, 5:15 p.m.) Colts @ Patriots

"NBA Basketball" (CBS, 6:00 p.m.) Lakers @ Sonics

"Desperate Housewives" (ABC, 9:00 p.m.) The androgynous chick from Sports Night is in a hostage situation which "changes everone's lives" including yours

Goddammit where's the "X Files" when you really need it?

"Y Tu Mama Tambien" (IFC, 9:00 p.m.) Hopefully this satisfactorily culminates a weekend of sexual tension. I'm about to explode.
