You missed the most spectacular part, I think: the "painted" tapastries. They were "painted" by machine and theaded to take on the human appearence of the people, the Church.

Did you know everything inside the building (and the building itself) is designed to last for 300 years? I wonder who will be around reading this post in 2303 to verify these things are still there!
