Has the MTA tainted your love of public transit?

First, let us warn you that you've got to tune your ears to understand this obscure out-of-tune, in need of transposition, reference. Maybe even make it a true 4:20 moment.

Did the MTA use Soft Cell's one hit wonder, Tainted Love, as inspiration for the door closing sound on the Red Line? Is it some sort of conspiracy to sell more music in this digital age?

Nah... but every time we ride the Red Line, we can't but not hear Tainted Love creep into our minds. And now, maybe it will always happen to you too.

Well, if the question is still about tainted love for public transit, I will say that yes, MTA has tainted my love. I'm from Toronto, home of the lovely and expensive TTC, and I went to school in Montreal (home of the STCUM), and after trying to ride the MTA for two months. I gave up and bought a bicycle, and ended up cutting my commute in half. The worst part is not the ride, but the wait between buses and trains. The schedules are wild guesses, and it can be 45 minutes between buses that are supposed to arrive every, er, 12 minutes.

genius, although it will make you a bastard if in fact i think about it whilst on the metro. i'll let you know.

Yeah, i hate to say it, but the buses SUCK in this city. Who has time to wait 45 min to an hour for a bus?? But I use the Red Line nearly every day and it's very reliable and arrives frequently. Bike + Subway = Functional Public Transpo in L.A. (depending on what neighborhood you live in).

Not sure about the Soft Cell. Right tempo, wrong key. But funny nontheless. Maybe it'll click in on my ride home tonight.

though there are alot of flaws with MTA especially bus service, its still a million times better than driving.
