UCLA Wins Loses at Notre Dame in Final Seconds
Unranked UCLA was thatclose to knocking off #10 Notre Dame in South Bend.
In what would have been one of the greatest upsets so far in this young season, the Bruins snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Notre Dame's Brady Quinn threw three passes for 80 yards -- in a final drive that only took 35 seconds -- and brought UCLA crashing back down to earth.
"We can't dwell on any of this," UCLA senior defensive end Justin Hickman told the Long Beach Press-Telegram. "The big thing is how we do next week. But this is a heart-breaker."
