Photo Essay: LA Decompression

Did you miss the human spectacle of Decompression, an offshoot of the infamous Burning Man Festival? Luckily for LAist, area photographer Ryan Jesena documented the mimes, clowns, and crossdressers that converged in downtown (1st and Vignes) this past Saturday for a day full of art, music, and deviant fun.

His thoughts on the event: "Decompression is really about sharing stories from the playa for people who have experienced Burning Man, and for people who are curious about this thing called Burning Man. I know we're back in the default world, and we simply just can't hug every random stanger we see, but that doesn't mean we can't share the message to those who are willing to listen and are curious."

More photos from the event after the jump.
