Disney's Version of LA for Rock n' Roller Coaster

Disney's Rock n' Rollercoaster featuring Aerosmith

The 0 to 57 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds roller coaster featuring Aerosmith's music has always confused us. The premise in which the audience happens upon a recording studio with Aerosmith, who is late for their concert at The Forum, invite us backstage. But we have to hurry through LA traffic to get there! So when traffic is jammed, we got to get jammin' (on the alt route that is).

If you look at the photo above, that's LA. It looks more like Gotham in neon to us with a hint of the 110 freeway tunnels. Then, inside the in-the-dark ride with black lights, there are Los Angeles freeway signs such as the 101, PCH, and of course, the 5 with an exit to the Civic Center.

The 5 at the Civic Center?

Don't get us wrong, we love city politics and confusing CalTrans signs, but Aerosmith, a Disney roller coaster and the Civic Center is just an odd mix for a bunch of family tourists on a humid Florida day.

Still...what a killer ride.
