Sweet Dreams, #2

Los Angeles Anaheim Sleep Study

America loves lists, and few people in America love lists like Bert Sperling, who spends a big part of his life ranking cities. His most recent study evaluated the nation’s best places to sleep, and Los Angeles, city of dreamers, came in at #2. Our friendly neighbor to the south, Anaheim, edged us out for the top spot but this probably had no relation to the city’s little dream-machine called Disneyland.

Atlanta was the worst city to sleep in, and also ranked worst in another recent Sterling study on driving costs.

Los Angeles has a lot of highs and lows, and you can see how LA fared in other Sterling studies after the jump.

7th most challenging city to navigate (out of 65+).

8th most expensive city for driving (out of 80).

13th best city for teleworking potential (out of 80, though we’re the clear #1 when it comes to gas savings).

9th best city to avoid migraine headaches (out of 110).

17th best city for seniors (out of the 50 largest cities).

23rd healthiest city (out of 50).

29th best city for crime (out of the 100 largest cities).

32nd for dating (out of 80).

32nd most stressful (out of the 100 largest cities).

48th most fiscally fit city (out of 50 … ouch).

48th worst city for respiratory infection.

54th Best Place to Live (out of 331).

Shockingly, LA didn’t rank on the list of hurricane hotspots.
