Roger Waters to play entire Dark Side tonight at the Bowl

He wrote The Wall, he wrote Animals, and he wrote pretty much all of Dark Side of the Moon; still, somehow, when Roger Waters split ways with guitarist David Gilmour and the rest of the band, it was the guitarist who got to keep the name Pink Floyd.

And to add insult to injury, when the new Pink Floyd put out new records, it was they who outsold their songwriter.

Tonight Waters returns to Los Angeles to play the Hollywood Bowl in what should be a very special treat - the entire Dark Side of the Moon will be performed followed by some of Pink Floyd's greatest hits.

Here are the last three tunes of Dark Side ("Any Color You Like", "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse") from a concert performed by Waters two weeks ago.

Dark Side of the Moon was released in 1973 and spent 741 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, proving that people will buy creative, trippy, freaky music and it doesn't have to be performed by pretty boys or teen tarts.

This will be very cool tonight.

The only drawback, and it is a BIG ONE, is that the show is being put on by an outside promoter. This lameass is not letting anyone bring outside food, wine, anything into the Bowl. What the hell? Making everyone buy the Bowls overpriced food and drink. Especially for The Dark Side of the Moon, this is the lamest thing that I have ever heard of.

At least herb isn't bulky.

unfortunately creative, trippy, freaky music is rarely performed by pretty boys or teen tarts
