H&M Delays Beverly Center Opening to Nov. 10

H&M today announced that they have pushed back the opening date of their Beverly Center store from October 26 to Thursday, November 9, so that it coincides with the worldwide launch of the Viktor & Rolf for H&M collection, which will be available in the store on opening day.

The 20,000 square foot, single-story H&M store at the Beverly Center store will carry fashions for MEN (emphasis mine), women, teens, children and lingerie. That's good news for men, since the Pasadena H&M that opened last week carries only women's clothing.

The Viktor & Rolf for H&M collection will include casual pieces for everyday wear like jeans, tops, sweaters, jackets and coats as well as evening wear such as tuxedos for men and chic cocktail dresses for women.

It's the perfect marriage. A "fashion love story," according to the H&M publicity department. "Viktor & Rolf and H&M are joined together in an ephemeral fashion marriage: the union of Viktor & Rolf styles at an accessible price point for women and men." If only all marriages produced such spiritual bliss.

You might want to start lining up now. The Beverly Center H&M will celebrate its opening by offering the first 200 customers a free H&M t-shirt and a gift card, ranging in value from $10 to $500.

Why should you care? Why should you shop at H&M? Because the L.A. H&M stores offer "fashion and quality for EVERYONE (emphasis mine), from A-listers and their entourage, to the behind-the-scenes crew. H&M's extensive collections and affordable prices will make it easy for people to dress the "'LA lifestyle.'"

The Beverly Center store will be the second of three Southern California openings slated for 2006.
