The week began on 9/11 and we remembered Howard Stern's 2001 broadcast of that day. There were many choices of visual stimuli. Among those were Loose Change, Dateline in Long Beach, Path to 9/11 or Football.

While we watched Castaic burn, we felt the need to be a little more green and looked into Griffith Park planning, e-waste, coastal cleaning and Eastside reservoirs. Speaking of e-waste, one of our writers got his computer stolen again.

We questioned Olvera Street and our readers got fired up. Even LA Weeky's Jonathan Gold had a few words to say. At the same time, we found some decent vegetarian Mexican food on Moorpark St. in Studio City. There were plenty of food events this week and more to come. Also, Black Dahlia gelato?

Hockey anyone? That's right, we're going to start covering the two local hockey teams while getting a little jingoistic about UCLA, But we promise to soon balance it out with some SC pride. Oh yeah. Go Dodgers! Go Dodgers!

If you missed it, Bansky came to town.
