<p>'Petty even covered their first single "Ways to be Wicked"'

While this is sort of true (since Lone Justice's version came out first), it's important to note that Petty (and his guitarist Mike Campbell) wrote the song and the Heartbreaker's version was recorded first but unreleased until the box set. Thus you could also say that Lone Justice's first single was a "cover" of an unreleased Heartbreaker's song.
