Au Revoir, Rauschenberg

Overheard at the Robert Rauschenberg: Combines exhibition at MOCA, spoken by a rather loud, scruffy, (MFA candidate?) docent leading one man around the galleries: "But you see that parachute there? It's a toy parachute."
How do you get a job like that? He was clearly just making stuff up.
If you didn't go see the Rauschenberg exhibition downtown, you're too late. The last day was yesterday, and the show is now on its way to The Pompidou Centre in Paris. It appears, however, that Bob may have made a pit stop at the AM/PM at the corner of Fletcher and Riverside on his way to the airport. Take a look at the hillside behind the store, where the Red Car line used to go through.

Too bad they didn't manage to hide all those teevee sets. I hate Bush as much as anybody but a feild of televisions shouting bumpersticker slogans isn't working either. I have to say I was happy to see those boxy billboards (at least) partially obscured by (at least) an honest attempt at visual art. We can all use more of that.
