New QB, New RBs, Same Trojans

The report of USC's demise was entirely exaggerated. As much talk that was going around about how the Trojans were not the same team, you would have a hard time convincing the Arkansas Razorbacks and their fans. Not unlike the behind the woodshed beating the Razorbacks received at the hands of Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and LenDale White last year, this year's "less talented" team came through and managed only a 50-14 victory.

New QB John David Booty, who is really a verteran in the Trojan system, put up “Leinartesque” numbers. 24-35 for 261 yards and 3 TDs. Tailback U also showcased some of its new talent at RB as the trio of Emmanuel Moody, C.J. Gable and Chauncey Washigton combined for 25 carries, 164 yards and 2 TDs.

The Razorbacks and their fans were definitely jacked for the game, a record crowd of over 76,000 Hogs fans showed up. Most donning "BEAT USC" T-shrits, and most expecting a much closer game than what transpired. If this is what a down year is supposed to be for USC, the nation is in big BIG trouble.
