Drive By Truckers: "If you want to break up a band, Practice"

The Sunset Junction Street Fair is just a few days away and one of the bands that LAist is totally stoked about is the southern rock band Drive By Truckers who are equal parts Skynyrd, the Dead, and Neil Young singing songs about watching Bon Scott at an impressionable age. They're soulful and rocking and one of the few bands that takes that Wilco-Americana-folky thing and turns up the V a smidge.

DBT play on Sunday night on the Bates Stage at Sunset Junction at 7pm, right after Dave Alvin and right before Hank Williams III. Pretty awesome line-up if you like tattoos, hillbillies, Betty Page chicks and whiskey, like we do.

Tonight's midnight movie are the Truckers on the road talking to the camera for what turned out to be extras from the DVD portion of their Dirty South cd.

After the jump enjoy a live performance of "Never Gonna Change"... that's right a double feature.
