Well, another former child actor crashes and burns -- literally. Last month, Haley Joel Osment crashed his Saturn near his La Cañada-Flintridge home. He suffered a broken rib and a shoulder injury. While we speculated on the cause of the crash, we thought we'd give him a break. But now we learn that The Sixth Sense kid was drunk driving and carrying the ganja.

According to the LA Times:

Osment was charged with driving under the influence; driving while having a 0.08% or higher blood-alcohol content, with the special allegation of having a 0.15% or higher blood-alcohol content; and possession of marijuana while driving, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Ed Green, in charge of the Glendale office.

Osment will be arraigned on Sept. 19 and could get up to six months jail time (yeah, right). This kid actor crash-and-burn bums LAist out. We thought that Osment might go the Jodie Foster route in Hollywood. Now looks like he's taken a wrong turn into Corey Feldman avenue.
