A Gorilla reads a Bukowski Poem

Charles Bukowski wasn't *just* a beer drinking machine. He was a sensitive Cancer who self-medicated and wrote all night. Maybe like some of you do.

As much as we love the man, we aren't quite sure which poem this is since he had many who had "Love" in the title. But names and titles and formalities are so unimportant when you have a virtual gorilla "reading" a funny and great poem. So enjoy tonight's Midnight Movie.

Bukowski did most of his best writing (pre novels) during the day-- he worked the night shift sorting mail, and would return home to his beer and typewriter and write all day. Only later in life was he able to write at night.

Also, yesterday was his birthday.

Oops, missed this post where you say essentially the same thing.

Sorry Tony, this was the first time I uploaded one of my animations to YouTube and I forgot to add sufficient information. The poem is indeed entitled 'Love' and the recording is of a Bukowski reading in Iowa City 1973.

Cancer? how about that he was a Leo.

Bukowski was Leo, he said as much himself.
