LA Directors: Submit a film about Tolerance, win $100k

Here at LAist we like to help out struggling directors who could use a few extra thousands of dollars, so when a tipster let us know about a contest being held by Current TV, our interests were piqued but we were pretty sure we were gonna say no. Keeping it real and all that.

But then we saw that the topic was Tolerance, and what with all of Mel Gibson news happening, and what with or pals at dlisted being dissed, and with the fact that we just saw Brokeback Mountain for the first time last night (surprisingly not that gay), we figured what the hell.

So heres the deal, you submit a short video about tolerance (talk about people who are, or who aren't, etc) and the winner receives $100k, and the two runners-up get $10k. Better'n a poke in the eye, our grampa used to say. More details below the fold:
