Area Man Spots Finest Newspaper Ever Coming to Area
Blogebrity Editor Kyle Bunch sends in this tip that The Onion will bloom in LA next week in over 1,000 locations.
Currently their website says that today is the day that the nation's best satire newspaper should hit the streets but, you know, the Internet's tubes are sometimes incorrect.
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any sightings of the actual rag out there on street corners, but if you find them before we do, shoot us an email at thelaist at gmail.com like Kyle did and your karma will be repayed sevenfold. If that's a good thing.

That looks like the box I saw on Vermont Blvd in Los Feliz. The best part is that the little white card in the window says something to the effect of "I have been informed that The Onion has been infiltrated by the government"--can't remember it exactly. Anyway, will try to snap a picture on my way home.

I talked to the Onion guys last week and they confirmed that Aug. 10 is the start date...

I wanted to confirm it. Yes, August 10, The Onion, Los Angeles will be on the streets. You will see more boxes up today, Monday Aug. 7th and tomorrow. You will also see racks going up by your favorite stores. If you don't see one by your favorite place and they are in our distribution area, smack them in the head, smile and politely ask them why.
