Perry Farrell Interviews Shepard Fairey

Rock hero Perry Farrell, creator of Lollapalooza, has decided to start interviewing some of his favorite people.

One of his interviews is with LA street artist Shepard Fairey. Farrell has cut together several short bits, this one is part two of his interview with the OBEY visionary. In this one they talk about fellow artist Banksy.

So cool.

LOVE Banksy.

If you like the work of Banksy take a look at the fans forum www.banksy.info

The intro to the video, calling Shepard Fairey the godfather of american street art is probably the most absurd thing I've ever heard! He's a nice guy and I like what he's done, but he's as much the godfather of american street art as ashlee simpson is the godmother of american pop music.

Also, I get that it doesn't have to be completely about him but it's weird how 50% of the video is the xgames/after effects intro and then the minute and a half (give or take) of dialogue is talking about banksy.

For more talk of street art / skate art / graf art, you should check out the Adidas Adicolor videos - they're beautifully shot vignettes with some of the most remarkable street artists out there right now (the Fafi and the Jeremy Scott / Haring are my favorites).
