We blame Materials & Applications for the regular traffic jams on Silver Lake Blvd. between Effie and Sunset. Anybody who sets up golden Mylar gravity holes and enormous bamboo cocoons along a regular commuting route is going to create a bottleneck. We can hardly be angry for the delay once we drive by whatever amazing and beautiful project they've cooked up, however, and we'd implore anyone else on that route to take a moment like we have to park the car and really soak up what's going on in that little lot between some rather unassuming apartment buildings.
Saturday night they're hosting a night of screenings, music, and performance (Sarah Elgart's DRIFT) focused around infranaturals/LEVITAS' installation at the site called Here There Be Monsters, which will be disappearing after July 31st. It starts at 8 pm and is free (though they are asking for a $5 donation). We'll be sad to see those monsters go, but we'll try to enjoy the regular flow of traffic until the next project appears.
