Dear LAist,

signed,

Dear Jason,
Frank Black's "Los Angeles", definitely. If you put "L.A. Woman" on there you're a douche. You may consider Jane's Addiction's "Pigs in Zen", but you will do yourself right if you throw a little Art Brut in there. In fact here's a link to a live version of "Moving to LA".
If you find a good video of "Moving to LA", let us know. In the meantime enjoy "Modern Art" above.

I think that you should put Los Angeles by X.
I'm voting for Los Angeles by L.A. based jazz pianist Brad Melhdau.
It might be nice to include "Los Angeles, I'm Yours" by The Decemberists...
Personally a fan of Warren Zevon's Even a Dog Can Shake Hands a great song about LA.
well, she followed him from phoenix out to california
and then she passed out on the bed
and all the little things he never even asked her for
she simply smiled and shook her head
"California (all the way)", Luna
And Elliott Smith has a "Los Angeles" on Figure 8 too.
