Taking it too easy in the Southbay

This story is free to read because readers choose to support LAist. If you find value in independent local reporting, make a donation to power our newsroom today.

Um, we’re not too sure how good an idea it is to drape living animals all over you while you motorcycle around town, like some kind of maniac. It is a full moon tonight, but could you at least make some kind of attempt at not painting the streets with Labrador carcasses? You are the equivalent to PETA’s worst nightmare… on steroids. Let us not ignore that there is some sick sort of way you positioned the dog in the back to be “riding” you. Classy. Your ménage-a-trois of terror must immediately come to a halt. Where are your dog leashes? Why must you shun Los Angeles’s wonderful weather and scenic landscapes? Have people truly given up on walking ‘round here? Did anyone catch the license plate so we can call the SPCA??

In the end LAist is just happy that they all held still long enough for such a clear, crisp picture.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive from readers like you will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
