Manga, Manga, Manga

Ok, we admit, Anaheim isn't exactly LA. But tell that to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. So there. Anyway, if you are in the mood for some cool animation, comics or maybe even some cosplay, head on down to Anaheim (or over, or down and over) and check out the 15th Annual Anime Expo this weekend.

The expo, sponsored by and for the continued growth and prosperity of the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (no, we didn't make that up. go to their site if you don't believe it) will showcase the best in Japanese Animation, Manga and all kinds of other anime for those of you who fancy this sort of thing.

From the official website the Expo is "a vehicle to promote animation and comics and a venue for the fan community." Sounds good to us. Even the LA Times is getting into it and will be publishing its first ever pull-out guide to the expo. Feel free to check out the details here.

The expo is at the Anaheim Convention Center and runs from July 1st to July 4th. This will also be a good dry run and will get all of you comic fans ready and salivating for the big San Diego Comic Con next month. We'll be at the comic-con too but not in costume this time. Those things chafe.
