+ Finally a decent hotel in Beverly Hills. The Sofitel re-opens after nine months and $40 million of improvements including a new Randy (Skybar, Whiskey Blue) Gerber lounge called Stone Rose. We're glad that the construction will now move from the North of the Beverly Center to the East as they continue to re-do the Beverly Center Extension - or whatever it's going to be called.
+ Yes he has billions, yes his daughter's insane, yes he has probably already bought a condo in Heaven, but tonight when you say your prayers, give Beverly Hills 90210 and Charlie's Angels creator Aaron Spelling a shout-out. The 83 year old icon is reportedly resting at home under doctor's care after suffering a stroke on Sunday.
+ If it wasn't for Spelling there would have been no "The OC" and without "The OC" there would have been no "Laguna Beach" which means there would have been no LC, blonde reality star Lauren Conrad. LC admitted that although she has learned to let down her guard when the cameras are rolling, that the kids on the online message boards at MTV.com's "The After Show" can be a little too real so she no longer visits there.
"I used to," Conrad told CNN, "but they are really brutal. So, no. They don't have too much nice to say ... but it's like anything else, people love you or they hate you."
