I skim-read a Coulter tome in a bookstore. It reminded me of the freshman term papers I used to dash off the night before they were due. Evidently her publisher is content to print first drafts, though with all the money they must get from her screeds, you'd think they could hire at least one editor.

I don't think it would be very difficult to program a computer to crank out one of here books. Hell, the prose would probably be less mechanical.....

Just to be fair – I am giving away free copies of Ann Coulter "Godless", to anyone who can tell me what her use of the term Harpies, means in the context of her book. At this time 27 copies have been given away and still counting.

She wrote a book (several actually) and everyone is jumping to immense conculsions based on about three sentances. Go through the Bible sometime and pick out a few controversial statements without context. Or Shakespeare. Coulter has contempt for the hypocrisy of liberal thought. No surprise there. What's the fuss?

I don't know the women in question, but they certainly look the part that Coulter attributes them. Plus they are politically active against the adminstration that has given them the finacial independance to pursue their cause. All the rules change when that happens, don't you think?

Ann Coulter is only saying what many people feel. She is not only a voice for herself, but for all those who cannot express the same thoughts for fear of reprisals in the workplace, public gatherings, and their own lives.

She has enough clout as not to worry that she will be fired for expressing her views.

I have heard liberal democrats say far worse and never be held to the scrutiny and contempt that she has.

This issue is proof positive that liberals and conservatives are not held to the same standards. Liberals, for the most part, are given passes on their views and controversial statements.

To read my post about Ann’s appearance on Leno on Wednesday evening, visit

We welcome all views and opinions, no matter how ridiculous they are.

I hate that we even talk about this. We're bringing it up to the level of civilized debate. Kottke is pretty well-spoken on the issue: http://www.kottke.org/06/06/please-stop
