Random Thursday Night Things to Do

Santa Monica.jpg

It's a gorgeous June day in LA, and LAist is looking for a little something something to do tonight. We're debating a few things like:

1. Heading for the ocean after work, though the thought of heading across town (via the I-10) at rush hour really doesn't appeal that much. Although a drink at Shutters on the Beach really does.

2. Looking at the doggies (and their owners) while hiking Runyon Canyon.

3. Dropping by the late night Plastic Dog CD release party at Three Clubs.

4. Going for an iced coffee at the Coffee Bean at Sunset and Fairfax and diving into the LA Weekly's Literary Supplement. (And watching all those hikers from Runyon do the same.)

What else should we do tonight or even tomorrow night, LA?

Give us something because we really don't want to stay home tonight and watch the 2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee (yes, it's on prime time TV tonight on ABC 7).

I say grab a ***honey*** vanilla latte or two and embrace the Bee! It's ineludible! You know, i-n-e-l-u-d-i-b-l-e, inedludible.

Going west from downtown to the beach on the 10 really isn't that bad in the afternoon. East, on the other hand, is a total parking lot.

Try a $6.50 ticket at Dogers Stadium. And hey, if you're not going for the game (like me), it's worth the price for some comunity "feel-googness" and a Dodger dog.

You mean you don't want to stay home and watch The Office marathon?
