Nicole Richie and her ex-fiancee Adam Goldstein (a/k/a DJ AM) have broken up ... again. The two announced that their engagement went kaput in December, but then kinda sorta got together again between then and now.

Yesterday, the pair released another announcement -- "We are confirming that we have amicably separated" -- through Richie's publicist.

Wow, that's almost as shocking as Nick and Jess. But not. At least the Lacheys got married before announcing their breakup in the press.
