Talk about two teams heading in opposite directions...Will the REAL LA team please stand up? In Chavez Ravine that team was the Los Angeles Dodgers, who completed a three game sweep of the rivals down the I-5 capping it off with a 7-0 shutout. The Dodgers broke out the brooms in convincing fashion, outscoring the OC'ers 31-7 and sending them to their fifth straight loss.
The Angels, World Series Champs just four seasons ago, have lost their winning edge seemingly overnite. Now losers of 17 of their last 22 games and 10 games under .500 (17-27), the Angels head to Texas where they will try to find answers. Vlad Guerrero, who is a big part of that answer, has had a hit in every game he has played in Arlington. Hopefully the other Angels can find their groove and get back on the winning track.
The Dodgers (24-20) will stay home and hopefully continue their recent hot play against the Colorado Rockies... the DIVISION LEADING Colorado Rockies (yeah we cant believe it either). If it seems like we just saw the Rocks, well its because we have. Dropping two of three to them just last week. A change of scenery and the added boost of sweeping the Angels should hopefully make things a little different this time around. The Dodgers are only a game back of the lead in the tight NL West.
