The Pink Taco Doesn't Fly in Phoenix...

Taco.jpg

The Pink Taco restaurant and bar at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino may fly in Las Vegas -- which many Angelenos consider a northern suburb -- but we're hearing that the name's not playing with some of the fun-loving folks of the Phoenix area. A few residents of Scottsdale, the tony suburb of Phoenix, are complaining that the name of the restaurant offends them. According to an AP story:

The Las Vegas-based Pink Taco Mexican Restaurant is scheduled to open its second location in downtown Scottsdale in June...Nearly half a dozen people in the upscale city recently expressed their objection to the name, claiming it's a derogatory slang term for a portion of the female anatomy.

We're hoping that those six whiners never visit LA. Can you imagine what would happen if they ever drove by the TomKat's marquee?
