I've punished myself - twice - by stopping at Mondo for a movie and staying for the sad, sad scene that is filming the Midnight Prowls.
And it really is sad. I've never had the stomach to watch a finished, edited scene but I imagine editing doesn't improve the sight of soft-in-the-belly and soft-where-it-counts guys waiting glumly as the pornlet du jour tries desperately to get a rise out of a desperate guy.
The guys are not screened beforehand. They do have to wear a condom for sex, but oral sex is condom-free.
The guys are probably fairly safe, considering the girls are tested monthly (I work for a porn co.)
But would I do it, if I were in their shoes (which, yes, the smart ones keep on)? Hell no.

That photo's from Mondo Video A-Go-Go. Rob Schaffner (the sleazy looking dude in the back of the photo - one of my all time favourite people) presides over quite the kingdom of filth there.

I've yammered with Rob about the shoots that they do in the store, and they sound like run of the mill porno shoots to me. These guys all work in an industry who's ability to operate depends on making sure everyone involved has a clean bill of health. All of these people sign releases, do 2257 paperwork and I imagine most women in the industry won't work with someone lacking proper medical clearance. It's all soft scripted like any other reality television - any impression that anything happening is by chance is due to the limited acting skills of the participants and/or the gullibility of their audience.
