One Down, One More to Go

New Era In LA

The Clippers held up their end of the bargain tonight, dispatching the Denver Nuggets 101-83 for thier first post-season seiries win. LAist says its their first because lets face it, that wasnt the Clippers 30 years ago, that was the Buffalo Braves. Not the same. Nevertheless, this is a huge accomplishment for a team, a franchise, that has searched for respect. They also make it possible for Los Angeles to have two teams meet in the post season for the first time in any major sport.

The Clips have made their season on defense and again did their thing as they held the Nuggets under 40 percent shooting, as they did in four of the five games in this series. The Nuggets averaged over 100 points during the regular season but have managed to score just over 87 a game against the Clips.

They now wait for the winner of the Lakers-Suns series that resumes Tuesday. Do we really have to say it? Didnt think so... Lets root for history!
