Wango Tango in Da House

With all the hoopla surrounding this weekend’s Coachella Festival, LAist almost forgot to mention another upcoming music fest: 102.7 KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango on Sat., May 6 at the IrvineVerizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Now, we usually laugh at the lineup – think Hilary Duff and Jessica Simpson – but when we checked out this year’s schedule, we were kinda impressed.

Kanye West -- at the top of the game right now -- and Mary J. Blige are the headliners, but if this is your style of music, the other artists on the bill ain’t too shabby either: Ne-Yo, Rhianna, Nick Cannon and Daddy Yankee. And we have to admit, though Natasha Bedingfield tends to oversing on some of her tracks, we find her music catchy. Annoyingly so: “These words are my own/From my heart flow/I love you/I love you/I love you… oye vey.

Unfortunately, the Wango is sold out. If you really really want to go, try listening to KIIS this week to win tickets. But then again you’d have to endure Seacrest, Valentine or JoJo on the radio. So maybe Stub Hub or E-Bay are better bets – and a lot less annoying.

She doesn't oversing....she's overproduced...probably cuz she can't sing.

Natasha can sing way better than you guys. She can write, sing, and has awesome songs. No wonder she's such a big hit. Anyway, this is one of the worst Wango Tango line-up in years (except for Natasha). That's why they probably moved it to a smaller, more "intimate" venue since KIIS knows they can't sell it. It's sold out bc seating was so limited.
