Kathy Griffin hates old people

kathygriffin.jpgHas one of our favorite D-listers gone too far, even for us? Kathy Griffin is suing her elderly neighbors, 78-year-old Bernard Subkoski and his 71-year-old wife Celeste Dickinson. Suboski built his dream home in the Hollywood Hills but, when health problems made the couple want to downsize, they sold it to Kathy Griffin and moved across the street. The house is reportedly worth $2.85 million. Now, despite an agreement that says any issues with the property should be handled privately, Griffin has filed a complaint in LA Superior Court over construction problems.

Looks like the defendants know how to work the media, however. A savvy press release makes Griffin look like a cold, cruel celebrity (or celebrity wanna-be). It quotes Celeste Dickinson saying, "At our age, and with our physical problems, a lawsuit is an incredible strain."

Then again, maybe Kathy's the savvy one: the second season of her reality show is set to broadcast on Bravo in June, and here she is, making headlines.
